1 more final yet I’m stressed and can’t focus.

I only have 1 more final and yet I am beyond stressed. I thought I would study more today but I just keep thinking of other things to do before I leave for spring break. Maybe I should just sleep now since I only got 3 hours of sleep last night and Sunday… but I accomplished so little today. I don’t want to be cramming for this final like I did for my other two. AHHH… so much to do.

Here’s something inspiring:

Some kid has a new pair of shoes now… well he better.

After spending the weekend debating whether I should spend the money on TOMS shoes or wait for someone to buy my flats first, I ended up just buying them! First of all, I really wanted the Ash Canvas/Gray ones and they (size 9) ended up being sold out on eBay. I looked elsewhere and Amazon had only 1 size 9 left in stock so I immediately bought it. Unfortunately, they are scheduled to arrive next Monday, a day after I leave for my spring break trip down south! That’s so upsetting! I really hope the world works in my favor and moves my shoes along so they come by Friday… which is very unlikely since UPS is usually dead-on accurate with their schedule. I’d think they would totally go with every outfit I plan to wear…except for the night in Vegas. Siighh… maybe I should have just got it at Nordstrom. (They were selling it for 2 dollars more + tax.)

Relisted my flats on eBay for the third time.

New Favorite Mascara: Boots No7 Super Sensitive

I can’t believe I was able to find it on clearance at Target for $1.98. I never thought I could find a mascara that actually holds a curl and lengthens. The Max mascara from Rimmel is okay in doing those things but I find it a bit clumpy. But this Boots mascara is amazing! Moreover, the brush separates the lashes pretty well even though I am not a fan of the shape and bristles. Lastly, the formula is great for sensitive eyes (especially for contact wearers like myself.)

Regular price : $7.99
What a steal for me! I never pay full price for mascara but for the performance, I would definitely repurchase even at regular price.

Why won’t anyone buy my shoes?

They really are new! They are cute and pretty!

Why don’t I just keep it then? Because I realized the gold color is just too flashy for me. I rather purchase a pair of casual flats. I hope someone buys them or else they will just sit in my closet, collecting dust. :(

Will buy TOMS if I can sell my pair of ALDO flats

I hope someone buys my shoes. They’re super cute but I feel like I can’t pull them off. The gold seems too fancy for me.

So I decided that if someone buys my Aldo flats that I have never worn out, then I will buy TOMS shoes. I really love how they look but the price is out of my range. Personally, I would rather buy the Vans for everyday comfort and durability but I saw the video of children not having shoes to wear in Argentina and that made me decide that I really really want them.

TOMS shoes look like they match everything!

I came across a pair of shoes online that looked versatile in that they will look good with almost everything. However, I don’t think they look comfortable or durable. According to TOMS, they will give a pair of shoes to a child for every pair purchased. I was deciding between this pair or the Vans Lo Pro Gore… they’re both about the same price but Vans looks more durable and comfortable. TOMS goes to a good cause. Sigh… if only they were cheaper, my decision would be easier.

So cute!

I wish I knew French!

I feel like I watched a lot of European films lately. Coco Before Chanel, Amelie, The Spanish Apartment, Love Actually (UK), and An Education (UK). Though I do not regret taking Spanish in high school, I wish I learned French as well. I am not fluent in any foreign language! I am only semi-fluent in Cantonese but very fluent in Chinglish. I know a minimal amount of Mandarin. I can understand some Vietnamese. I am at a high school level of Spanish. If only I can master all these languages, then I’ll start taking on French. I love listening to French music. Currently, I am loving the song, Sous le ciel de Paris by Juliette Greco. I wish I knew what she was saying.

I watched An Education last night. I love this song.

War Between Students & Government Reach an Extreme

Protestors at UC Davis are clashing with police: http://tinyurl.com/ykkjqbs

As a student attending a public university, I am upset of over the budget cuts. I understand protesters’ motives but some actions have gone to an extreme. Blocking the freeway intersection? Pulling fire alarms? Delaying bus? Some people need to just finish what they can. The quarter is almost ending and a student missed his midterm because of protesters blocking intersections…c’mon now! If we continue to drag this on, we will never finish our education and we’ll still have to continue to pay for tuition anyway. Personally, I really need to graduate soon so I can pay off my loans so I don’t have time to protest on behalf of everyone else. I know this is selfish but honestly, I have to graduate and earn money soon so I can help out my family and send my brother to university in the future.

I know if we don’t do something, the government will continue to cut funds for education but I think some protesters’ actions are just too much now. I really don’t know what is right thing to do and what is the wrong thing to do. The world is just cruel.

Wear runway dresses for the fraction of the price. Genius… except I DO wear the same dress multiple times.
